ABOUT REGENT SQUARE EDITING

Hi there, I'm Alana Dunn, the owner of Regent Square Editing. I'm glad you're here!

I'm an academic line editor and copyeditor specializing in publications in the humanities, though I also have experience with fiction, poetry, and prose. I work to help writers eliminate errors and polish their prose without altering their voice or style. I particularly enjoy working with early-career faculty who are finishing their first or second monograph. I have served as the copyeditor for Bull City Press since 2009 and for the Bolivian Studies Journal since 2023. I'm also a member of the Editorial Freelancers Association.

When I'm not editing, I'm most likely:

• cooking Korean or Chinese food—some of my favorites are doenjang jjigae and beef chow fun;

• watering my 40+ houseplants; or

• cuddling my rescue guinea pigs, Odie, Evie, Ivy, and Fern.
